Column by Dux PR’s Kevin Tanzillo Is Best-Read
Feature in Monthly
ACUTA Newsletter
DALLAS , November 10, 2003 – In the year that Kevin Tanzillo, vice president of Dux Public Relations, has written a column on emerging technologies, the feature has grown to become the best-read segment of the ACUTA monthly newsletter.
A recent survey of readers by ACUTA, the Association for Communications Technology Professionals in Higher Education, showed that Tanzillo’s Tech Talk column drew more readers than any other newsletter feature, including the popular info rmation-sharing case studies contributed by ACUTA members.
Nearly half of ACUTA readers said they always read Tech Talk, while another 43 percent are at least occasional readers, the survey found, for a 90 percent positive ranking.
Pat Scott, Communications Manager for ACUTA, said Tanzillo’s columns are always on the mark. “We were looking for someone who knew our membership, understood the technology, and could write compelling copy,” Scott said. “The info rmation in Tech Talk is exactly what our members want to know, and it is presented with clarity and humor. I have heard nothing but positive comments about it.”
Tanzillo, a former technology journalist, has covered topics ranging from free space optics to the Session Initiation Protocol to Wi-Max since he began writing the column for ACUTA in September 2002.
