Now Partnering with Dolphin Debit, Baptist Health FCU Plans Deployment of ATMs Across Arkansas

HOUSTON, March 22, 2022Baptist Health Federal Credit Union has partnered with Dolphin Debit to achieve its objective of extensively expanding the credit union’s fleet of ATMs.

Based in Little Rock, Baptist Health FCU is a healthcare employer-focused credit union with the Baptist Health system as its most prominent select employee group (SEG). The credit union chose Dolphin Debit, the full-service ATM management company, to take over management of its current ATM fleet and lead the way in deploying ATMs statewide.

Dolphin Debit provides turnkey ATM outsourcing service that includes purchase and deployment of new ATMs, purchase of a financial institution’s existing ATMs, terminal driving, transaction processing, ATM maintenance, armored car service, communications, monitoring and dispatch, and cash management.

Currently, Dolphin manages five ATMs for Baptist Health FCU, with a sixth ATM to be converted soon from another provider. After that, the credit union has ambitious plans to extend its fleet

“It is our goal to have an ATM available at Baptist Health hospitals throughout the state of Arkansas and anywhere our members or potential members need our services,” said Kim Coleman, Chief Financial Officer for Baptist Health FCU.

Since 2020, the pandemic has challenged Baptist Health FCU when it came to their ATMs, given their focus on healthcare facilities, but now the credit union is ready to leverage Dolphin Debit’s capabilities and pursue its goal of statewide coverage.

The Baptist Health system, the largest not-for-profit health care organization based in Arkansas, has more than 11 hospitals, urgent care centers, a senior living community, and more than 100 primary and specialty care clinics in Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.

Coleman emphasized the importance of ATMs in serving Baptist Health FCU members, but said managing the fleet was very time consuming for employees. So the credit union investigated Dolphin Debit, checked with other local credit unions that also partner with Dolphin, and made the switch.

“At this time we are still a comparatively small financial Institution, so to have Dolphin Debit take over the management of our ATM program at a price that is affordable makes our goals for the servicing of our members a reality,” Coleman said. “Servicing members better and remaining compliant, while easing staff burdens, has been a great outcome of our partnership with Dolphin Debit.”

“One of the many benefits of partnering with us is the ability to deploy additional ATMs quickly and efficiently,” said Joe Woods, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing  for Dolphin Debit. “For a credit union like Baptist Health FCU that is looking to ramp up its fleet, this is the perfect strategy.”
